We'll start off with arty art news and some shameless plugging on my behalf. Hey, someone's gotta do it. There is free worldwide shipping ending tonight 11:59pm PST over at Society 6 so go, minions, take a look. Yes, it's not the best promotion, but usually shipping is the expensive part. Free is always a nice word. Add shipping and worldwide...and you don't have a bad thing...The added bonus is there is a ton of new art work up that's just begging for a new home on a ton of different products. So far the minions that have ordered, they don't let me know who is buying, so you all remain anonymous, have not complained about the quality. So one last shameless plug to head over to Society 6, grab some goodies...and onto the arty art news....
I've been arting! Not as much as I'd like, but I'm getting there. I get distracted by the shiny objects and real life stuff, does need to take priority. The goal is still to finish the piece up this week so that I can play with the new version of my program. I'm very excited about that...and even have a few ideas to incorporate some of the new stuff into the current piece. Kind of have an idea of how...but I'm not 100% sure it'll work. I suppose I'll figure that out when I get to that point. I am really excited to try the new stuff...and I'm already seeing what some of the people on Twitter are doing. Mainly, Aaron Rutten, did a stunning piece. You really would never know it was done digitally. I've seen the start up gallery of art, too. It's all really amazing stuff. I just give props to Aaron because when I first started with Painter, he was the one artist that had some really good tutorials. It is an extremely complex program, that just got more complex...I'll be heading over to some of his video's to see what I got myself into. Even though our art styles are completely different, it's a good jumping off point on what exactly the brush technology has to offer...then I go off and do my own stuff and end up crashing the program because I push it too hard...happens ALL the time. I'm hoping next year for the PC to get a lobotomy so no more it just giving up, rocking back and forth in the fetal position with the mouse in it's mouth...All in good time...
In the pondering of ponders...on another site I'm on I've been getting flooded with messages with someone that watches me and I watched. Yes, it's past tense now. The subject: Interweb trolls. I admit they are everywhere...and they can be nasty. I have been extremely fortunate (hope I'm not jinxing myself here) to not have encountered one. Scammers, yes. Borderline stalkers, sure. An actual Troll...no. That being said, my inbox has been flooded with screenshots and miles of text. The funny thing, the person complaining about being trolled is being a troll to an extent. My philosophy and advice to anyone, is block the person, report if you have enough to actually report and move the hell on. I have been trolled when I was a hardcore MMOer...and I used the above advice...and guess what? No trolls. Don't feed them, that's what they want. I didn't know if I wanted to actually dedicate a paragraph to it, but I decided, why the hell not. In closing there will ALWAYS be trolls on the interwebs...no matter what you are doing...best way to deal is to block and ignore...the more you put into them the more it feeds their ego and the bigger the problem they become. It was quite interesting reading comments from the "victim", I put that in quotes because I do feel like this person is perpetuating and being what the person is crusading against. I am not mentioning which site, nor any names. This is just what my thoughts on the whole drama is.
Speaking of drama...**slaps forearm over forehead* woe is me...that new workout program...holy nine hells of hellishness am I sore....STILL. I really didn't think it'd be all that bad, since I went BACK to a program I haven't done in a few months...boy was I wrong...my poor hamstrings...the rest of me is fine...but damn...I plan on taking a bit easier today...so so SO glad yesterday wasn't a Dad day, I don't think I could do stairs...let alone more than one flight. It was an amazing workout...but I really didn't expect the next day soreness to be THAT bad. I decided that I'm going to have to do more of a cool down than the program I'm doing offers, and I know with time I'll be less sore. Taking it a bit easier because our weather is goopy and I can't run the A/C because of the possible severe weather. Our A/C's are a bitch to get in and out...if you were wondering. That and being nice and cool then having to end it and get super overheated because of a storm...no. I'd rather just be warmer all day...Yes, my logic is insane...but I think you already knew that to some extent.
Well on that windbaggy note. I shall leave you will a happy weekend! I will see you all again on Monday. Until then, I shall bid you an adieu.
