I finally finished the piece I've been telling you about for, awhile now. I don't know the exact time frame, but it is finished, and up and ready to be seen, purchased on Society 6 plus a really good sale!! Who doesn't love a sale?! I love sales...again I am not sure I've met anyone that said, "Sale? Meh." So head on over and check it out!! The piece was inspired purely by Here Be Dragons by Matt Steady...and I think he's about to drop another album! He's a great guy, head over and check it out! You can find him all over the interwebs, including my go to of Google Play. The purple links will take you to my art store and his homepage plus the album page. I do try to make it easy...less Google-Fu more fun stuff!
On to the arty art news...which may be a bit long. I did work through my vacation to finish up that piece and start learning something completely new for my skill set to add to my arty art tool box! Always digital...and out of my comfort zone. I do know how to do what I'm planning on learning, buuuuutttt (that's a really big but) the 3D is what has me EEK!! And having to learn a different style, yes again, is exciting and scary. I think anything new is scary at first. But I'm watching a lot of tutorials for one program, and the other...again yes there are two, I'm finding work-a-rounds but I could really use your help. In the money way. The program I'm using only takes PayPal for payment to buy the full version, which would help immensely. I'm asking humbly for donations on my My Support page. Everything and anything will help. These 3D programs aren't cheap...and I am going to be learning them as I try and get normal pieces out...AND use the new art skill set to make new art! There's a lot on my plate...and I'm gobbling it up and overeating. The project that I'm going 3D for is in it's infancy and I am not getting paid. It's way too early to promote it, or even say what it is...a mystery! Who doesn't love a mystery? All I can say is it has a lot of promise and a solid foundation. I will be splitting my time working/learning on the new skills and keeping with the surreal, cute creepy stuff...and blending the two together, eventually. So if you'd like to support me and the budding project...head over to My Support and donate a few bucks. Thankfully, I found one that is within reason price-wise...some of those 3D programs I'd like to have had a coronary episode on the cost! This is a modest one...and I was actually looking for the physical doll/mannequins for...and that was a headache and a half and I almost got scammed in the process. Found something very close, digitally which means I won't break anything AND it's digital to make it so much easier to load into my other programs. The other one is going to take me awhile to learn. Lots of YouTube tutorials, which I have begun to watch, take notes...and learn! Thankfully I love learning...and I think you'll love what I get out when I learn enough about everything to put something out. I thank you now, for any support you give!! And I will for sure keep you posted on what's going on as it happens.
In other news, I have had a grueling but fun last week/vacation. While it was a ton of fun, I'm very glad that life is getting back to normal, whatever normal is. I actually had to get all dressed up...and THAT was an experience...I didn't look like me! All gussied up. I'm a jeans and T-shirt kind of gal. I even danced!! Or what I like to call dancing...haven't done that in years! Made new friends, had a great time...but I know I couldn't keep up that pace. I function better at a low key, chill pace. Last week was neither. I'm glad this week is a down week...minus me learning, and I do want to get a lot done, art wise.
On that note, minions, I shall wrap this up. Remember to check out Society 6 and the sale!! And if you can or are willing, please support me in my new arty art path of pathiness! I have a ton of ideas...and lofty goals...of re-learning and learning new things! Until next week, I bid you and adieu!
