There IS a new piece up on Society 6 plus a pretty big sale that need promo codes. Which I'll be providing you with in just a second. Today ending at midnight PST you'll need to use ARTLOVE to get the deal. I'm not sure what Society 6 is doing on the 30th but on the 31st there's another really good sale you'll need LOVE4ALL. Get the theme...it's almost that time for the heart day. What better way to celebrate with some really unique art stuff by your favourite overlor....I mean artist? Head on over, check out the new piece that took a really long time to finish. There's a ton of art up on Society 6 from the start of me joining them. Something for everyone.
In arty art news. I finished my Dad's commission and started a brand new piece. I don't know if it's going to be as twisted as the new piece, to see it remember Society 6, but it will for sure be dark. I'm working on background stuff now. Yes, there will be mountains...I love painting mountains. I have a ton of ideas for more and more and more pieces. I should really write or sketch them out so they don't go into the void of no return in my Noggin'. It's slowing down around here...so I will have more opportunity to art...YAY!!
In other news...there is a Dad day this week. I always am excited for the day of Dad. Yesterday there was a game session, but before I get into that, I actually didn't look like a complete idiot doing my new cardio workout! I am learning kickboxing now...yeah those first few attempts...if anyone would have recorded it and thankfully they didn't, I would have went viral in an embarrassing way. This time no mistakes and boy did I burn the calories. I still have a ways to go on the kicking. Stupid knees. I was so proud of myself for not making a mistake or just getting flabbergasted. Then my favourite part of the workout, Nidri Yoga, which I probably dozed a bit for. It's all good, they say on the recording there is no right or wrong way...so nyah!
Onto the gaming session...I was so absolutely impressed by my gamers. They did an amazing job. Our last newest (in the new to our group and the game) is officially off the trial period and now I have my core group. There were shenanigans'. I think what was the most impressive is that everyone role played and they did it well. This is the first session of this game that I felt there was synergy. I am a happy DM. I only yelled once...and I did feel bad about it, but I needed them to stay on point. I felt like everyone got fair chance to get the DM's attention and the veteran players really helped me by helping the new players out. For that, I'm grateful. This is a 6 person group. I'm used to 4 or 5. That added 6th player does make it tougher. It's a challenge I'm so ready to take. I've run for much larger groups...in the past. I'm very happy with the group that we have. They all want to be there...they are working well together. It's a great group.
On that note, dear minions, I'm way behind. The game session ran late and I woke up late. There's a full day ahead of me...and snow. I know it's January and all but it was well above freezing the last few days. I had windows open last night...wake up this morning...see the light peeking out from the curtains and think, well at least it's sunny...open said curtain...everything blanketed in snow...it's snowing out, mouth dropped open. I forgot to check weather yesterday, apparently. It's still very pretty. I'm rambling...oops. Not enough coffee. Until next week...I bid you an adieu.
