My state of noggin' is getting better. I'm still struggling a bit, but the dark cloud is pretty much dissipated and the normal creepy cloud is back. I like my creepy cloud. It was all about just giving myself some time. Time off, time to recharge. I'm still not up to my insane speed/hours a week. I am actually stepping back. The ideas aren't flowing like before, but they are there. I'm just going with the flow. If I don't feel like arting, I don't. If I get a burst of inspiration, well I go after it. A lot have hit the recycle bin...and that is okay. It's good to get it out. I'm really experimenting during my arting, so most of it is going to land in the place of no return. I'm okay with that. The beasties that dwell in my noggin' got a bit side tracked and focused on the wrong things...they escaped their cages and ran amok (amok, amok). They are now back in their cages and are not happy, but I am happier and less chaotic.
As I was saying, I am in an experimental process. Getting myself to try and learn new techniques, mediums, etc. It's been rewardingly frustrating. Anytime something new gets thrown in the mix I think there is an amount of frustration that goes along with it. When I do manage to pull something off...it is worth all of the frustration. I have been getting there. There is the intimidation factor, even some fear. I am trying to beat them back with a stick. **Disclaimer: No Noggin beasties or emotions were harmed during the making of this blog or my experimentation** In the end, I know I'll be in a better place, art wise.
The other stuff has been inspiring me. The book I'm reading is truly fascinating...about how the noggin' really works. It's amazing how delusional we all really are. You can read this and say not me...well according to studies that is a totally natural response to it. It's your noggin's way of keeping your reality safe and sound. It's truly an amazing book and has my list of must get books a lot longer. I'm almost at the end of this one.
In gaming news...still doing Clockwork Empires or what I call "Fishy People". It is inspiring in it's own way. Even though I really haven't gotten far into the game where it gets weird. I'm excited for that part. The Peanut Gallery got farther than I did and one of his guys ate another one of his guys...what's a game without a little bit of cannibalism? I had my colonists living off of fish people steaks...so I am not one to judge. Did I mention the game is creepy, campy and dark? Yup, I love it...it's like it was made just for me...which it wasn't...but still I will allow my noggin' to think that.
Well minions, I think that's it for now. Bases have been covered for the most part. I will be doing a full update on Wednesday. The day that is hump. I hope all of you are having a good Monday, for those on holiday please be safe! Toodles!
