First and foremost there is a new piece up on Society 6 with a huge sale! The promo code is HELLOSPRING. It ends tonight at midnight PST, I don't know if they'll extend it or not. I am not in charge of the sales...I just am in charge of my art. The new art piece is called "Experiment Number Two" you can see a little thumbnail down below, off to the right. Yes, it's another creepy piece that came out of my noggin'. I didn't think I was going to be able to finish it, more on that in just a bit. For now, I'll say head over to Society 6 and check out the amazing deals and there's a ton of art to choose from...I would think something for everyone, but since I don't do certain art styles, I'll say something for most?
In more arty art news, I am working on a new piece. Not as creepy as the last. I seem to be cyclic in my arty ways. Or so it seems. It was a rough sketch sitting in my file all by itself so I decided to breathe life into it. So far, so good. It's in it's infancy and does have a bit of creepy to it, just not over the top like the new piece. I do have several ideas that I need to sketch to get them down. Will they ever see the light of day? I have no clue. What seems like an amazing idea sometimes doesn't translate well when I get it down on paper. The new piece I did struggle with. I kept losing the passion for it, then it'd come back in a huge wave. I was adamant that I wanted to finish it, although, I did think of scrapping it when I was almost done. I'm glad I didn't. It's been a weird mental time for me...Segue card!!!
I think my mental weirdness, more than usual, is from my back. It's much better, but the muscle relaxers I'm on really mess with my noggin and my focus. Last night tonight for the muscle relaxers...I am still having back spasms but only in the morning...once I get up and move I'm better. Still not 100% which means I'll probably be just doing stretches this week for my workouts. I am going to have to start over when I get to the normal workouts, hoping next week!! I don't want to re-injure and I for sure want to add and keep normal yoga in the cycle. This has been quite an adventure and still is. My new chair has been helping, but I'm still not happy. The hubby and I are going to chair hunt to find me one that I am 100% happy with. I think my only complaint is that I'm too short for it...the back is very high and the ergonomic neck part is not very ergonomic for me. I do credit it for helping my back. If it was only lower on the head part it'd be pretty much perfect. I can art in it, do the blog, run my games.
Before we get into the shenanigans' of the latest game session that caused my sleep deprivation, I will say this week is going to be very busy. I have a Day of Dad, art and more game re-planning...possibly an Easter game. Which makes 3 weeks in a row. This DM is getting tired....and another segue....I'm just full of them....or something...
We did have a gaming session last night and it went off better than the last session. I had a shift in my attitude as a DM and while it was a bit rocky at the start, it started to flow. It does mean a lot of tweaking and some more advance planning. Right now they have their hands' full. We had a player bow out. He did have potential but he didn't have the passion or commitment. He did have the respect for me and my time planning, for that I greatly appreciate. I have my 5. Which is the magic number for me. It did make a difference on the other players getting time to shine. One of my gamers', my "adopted daughter" brought me Timbits...the old fashioned plain kind that I've been craving for oh so long. She also brought her very sweet fiance. (I can't do the squiggle on the e, sorry folks.) It was a very good game session, we got off track a little bit and it was frustrating to me, but I think all in all it was much more focused, more organic, and everyone had fun.
Onto the last little bits of news...I saw our roofers shadows this morning...does that mean 2 more weeks' until spring? They have been here for what seems to be forever...the noise levels, I swear I thought they were going to join me falling through the ceiling...only bad thing about being on the top floor. Their hammering did leave a paint chip mess. Thankfully, nothing broke...and they stayed on their side of the ceiling. I was not happy with their music and yelling, or work ethic...but it seems like they may actually be finished...I hope so. I am so tired of waking up at 7am to loud bangs...yeah...they started that early...today was 8...I think they start whenever they want to.
On that kind of bitchy note, yeah, not enough coffee. I get to start my day and try to loosely schedule my week. I'm not sure if we are having a gaming session this Sunday but I need to be prepared. Plus, I really need to art...I am excited I'm able to do the arting again! I missed it...I NEEDED to art...now I NEED to go pee. Until next week, minions! Toodles and Loos!
