Okay, first off promo sales on Society 6. The first ends tonight at midnight PST with the code ART4MOM. Then on May 2nd and 3rd there's another sale with the promo code MOMGIFTS. So make sure you check them out! They are pretty tasty sales, your wallet will love you...and so will I if you use said wallet...here comes a segue card of sorts....
There is no new piece up, but it's done...I finished it right before the first of my gamers' came over. I didn't have time to resize and get it ready and rarin' to go, but I am going to try really super hard to get it up tomorrow on Society 6 so you can have some new art to choose from. I won't be posting if I succeeded on my roll or not...but I really pushed hard to get it finished...finally...which will lead me to another arty art subject...
I finished the piece!!! I have to say blending is an art form in and of itself. The actual drawing of and colouring of didn't really take that long...even the editing part, giving it the textures it needed. The blending is what really took the longest. I thought about it on other pieces and the same applies. Blending is an art form...and it really must be done, for me at least...or for my style? I'm thinking of actually doing a video of my screen while painting and hopefully figure out how to narrate it. I'm not sure I have the technology to pull it off...the recording what I'm doing on my computer, yes...that comes with my art program...the overlay narration...I don't know if I have it or even know how to do it...but I think I may give it a try. It won't be able to be posted here, sadly, as I am still using the free aspect of the website...but I can link you to my YouTube site...if and when I attempt to do this. If you're really interested or have any advice on the how for audio...I'd be extremely grateful for any advice, tips, even free audio software (remember I'm saving for more arty art gear stuffs...) you can contact me on the homepage, just scroll down, or message me, on Twitter or Facebook, directly so I'll for sure see it...I'm very bad about the normal feeds...You can get there via the purple links, or the buttons to the right. While you're over there give a like or a follow...
In other news, the Day of Dad was very good. I kind of sort of made him get his haircut...it was super long...down past his mid-back. He was telling me for awhile that he's not patient with it like the last time he grew it out, it was even longer then...so when I got my hair did on Monday I made sure that my girl was in or my guy (he wasn't in)...yes I have 2 amazing artists that do my hair. I call them artists because they really are...they always do an amazing job. Dad really liked her and has now adopted her as his stylist. We did a lot of running around, and it was a good day. Even got to talk to one of his old friends from when he was in high school.
In other other news...we did have a game session. I drank a lot of coffee, not as much as last time and made sure I was drinking water...it was pretty good. Scary at first as I was looking through my notes and saw I really didn't have too many...Improv FTW!! Which is what I did...it got bumpy, but I'm getting better. I'm not sure our May schedule...but we'll burn that bridge when we get to it...there was a player death...which was not intended...but shit happens. I haven't looked at my calendar to see what days would be best for us. I'll be planning and doing that soon, as well. I like to plan well in advance because it's what I do.
See? That wasn't too overly bad. I tried to keep it shorter...I know I'm missing something. I missed the blending last week...lol. So I will say make sure you check out Society 6 and I'm really going to try and get the new piece resized and ready to go. I have a TON of other projects on the to-do list. That's not a complaint...that's a YAY!!! I'm really excited to start a new piece. Until next time, I bid you an adieu!
