The rant. Spent a few hours trying to get the PC and the Scanner to make nicey nice....oh no...that didn't happen. They had an argument over Win 10. ((sigh)) The fix is like selling your first born and your soul...and if you turn your PC off or get a power surge, brown out, etc. You have to do it all over again...Either that or totally wipe your PC clean and start that way. You say, the latter option isn't a bad thing...except we have 2 PC's loaded with what would be hours and hours of getting them both set up again to our normal status. The solution...from the peanut gallery...get a longer USB cable and plug it in. I'm good with that. I'd just move it onto my art table...while that is an awesome idea...I would lose a lot of space, and I'd just rather have it where it is...yes, I'm stubborn. I have a solution at least....which means I can start sketching. I could have the cable as early as tomorrow. While I've come to terms with Win 10, overall I liked Win 7 much much much better. On many levels. I think the Stockholm Syndrome has settled in with Win 10...so it's what I deal with. I think it's more the transition issues we've had, been having that bugs the hell out of me. We've had it since last year...and it still grates on that one nerve...you know the one...the least tolerant of the nerves...
Hey that wasn't too bad of a rant. Go me! Onto the art stuffs. I haven't done any traditional sketching yet...because of above. It was the, why bother if I don't have the scanner? I even thought of getting a camera (which I want anyways, kind of) to take pictures of the sketches to put onto the program. No, I don't have a cell phone, no I'm not getting a cell phone, in my reality it is not needed. Okay, I digress back into the art stuffs. This quasi-weekend I didn't have a whole lot of time to do the art stuffs...but I did manage to do some. I am liking where it's going. This was just the random whatever comes out onto the canvas session. Today I'm planning on actually doing the idea stuff. I hope it works...it never seems to come out exactly how I see it in my noggin', which is frustrating...and I can see why when I do commissions some of my clients get frustrated...they are seeing something that I can't see...they can only describe to an extent...and my job is to extract the vision from their noggins'. Tough work there. I do the best I can...Anyways, the art load will be a little less this week as there is a Dad/Daughter day tomorrow. Plus the working out. Balance...it's key.
Onto the personal life of the me...so if you aren't interested you may leave now...just remember that sharing is caring. Okay...so Fishy people dropped a substantial patch. YAY! I got to play a bit yesterday and it crashed...it was getting late so I decided not to load it back up. I'm getting happier with it...but not quite giddy like I was. I do plan on playing more at some point today. Not quite sure when...but even with the changes I don't like, it's still an awesome game. It is not an easy game...at all. They are really coming along nicely and the night they dropped the patch, they noted they are working on the next experimental one. That is one of the main reasons I endorse the game so much (It's Clockwork Empires). They are so dedicated not only to their game but their player base as well. I can't say that of many gaming companies...none off the top of my head...but I'm not a hardcore gamer anymore...that is peanut galleries domain.
Oh a quick favour to ask...and yes we are wrapping things up...I'm getting close to the 200 mark on Facebook...I would like to do something special when we hit that mark so, if you could share that link with your friends, family, enemies, etc. I'd appreciate it. It's not a huge number, but for me it is, and I'd like to do a little something for all you minions out there that follow me. Remember to check out Society 6 for the goodies and fun stuff. Sharing is caring...and sometimes revenge if you are sharing it with your enemies. Until next time, minions...Toodles!
