First of all, we have a few new minions I'd like to welcome aboard. As always, the only thing needed for the blog is a strong caffeinated beverage of your choice...I default to coffee, since that is my choice, strong and pure...nothing to dilute it...and some eye drops. The rest of the minions can tell you sometimes I can be quite the windbag...with the rambles and rants. I do try and stay on point, but it rarely happens. Okay...so with the welcomes we can segue into the 200. Yup, I just realized the title is out of order...well it adds chaos to the Monday that probably already has enough...but this is the fun kind...
We are VERY close to 200 likes on the Facebook....I'd like to hit that mark. So please head over there (if you haven't already) and like the page. See, I linked it for ease of travel. There's also a link in button form at the top. I digress, It would mean the world to me if you liked it, invited your friends, family, enemies, imaginary friends to like my page. I know it's just a page, and just numbers...but I do happen to post there a bit more than anywhere else. Not ALL the news can be found here, but the majority of it can be. I also have a special something I'm working on that is well on it's way as a celebration of the 200 mark. That is what's in it for you....I know you were thinking that... =)
Okay, we'll do the PC/Scanner thing...even though it will cause some chaos because I could have had the perfect segue into the Trad-Diggies...but again, chaos seems to be the running theme this blog. I finally.....FINALLY got the PC and the Scanner to make up. Wow was that a headache...I had urges to throw them both out of the window...I live on the top floor of my apartment building, so there would be no survivors. I'm glad I didn't. Got the cable for a song...thank you PC Outfitters!! You guys rock...the cords going at the big box stores where up to $50 bucks...My PC guru's of guru-ness did it for a very modest song and dance.
I thought plug in and that's it...nope. That wasn't quite it. This is where the urge to toss them out the window came from...with the WiFi network shattered but still appearing and the having to install stuff...and the PC getting a bit confused and stuck in a loop it took awhile. Hours...is what I mean by awhile. GRRR. A bit of fiddling a restart of my PC and BLAMMO! I had scanner!! There was happiness abound...the coffee was flowing, the streamers were streaming...glitter was glittering...Okay well maybe no streamers or glitter, but in my head there were...that counts, right? Needless to say I was extremely happy. It leads me to a perfect segue of the Trad-Diggies....
With the PC and Scanner all happy with each other...and the fight over...there were tears and apologies...I got to scan some sketches in. Including the 200. It will hopefully be the first Trad-Diggie to debut...if we get there before I get another sketch done. I have 3 more on the PC ready to go. It was a learning curve to get them ready to go...getting them on a "canvas" big enough (dirty!) and high enough (PPI not drugs, folks) to get them to be able to be displayed on Society 6. It's a demanding site for artists' so that you, the buyers' will be just as happy, if not more than when the PC and Scanner got fixed.
Again we'll hit the Trad-Diggie on the last note of news...and I'll combine it with the fun stuff I didn't promise, but did mention. The workouts...the ones that make me all wobbly and weak...are really helping me with being able to traditionally sketch...The accident injuries are slowly healing. That was amazing. When I sat down to sketch some random, whatever comes out on the paper...I noticed...my neck wasn't hurting...I was at it for a few hours, too. Granted a marathon won't be happening...but it is a really awesome feeling knowing that my working out isn't only getting me in shape...but it's giving me freedom to do what started ALL of this...traditional art. I don't know if I'll be doing any full pieces anytime soon...again the healing is slow. The thought of being able to, makes me very happy.
I think we about covered all the important news. Been way too busy to play Fishy People or any other game...although Machinarium is a lovely game to relax to before bedtime. I LOVE the art...and love that the game is hand drawn. That is very rare these days. So, my minions...you made it! I hope I made your Monday less Monday-ish. Please again...head over to Facebook and like, share with your friends...let's get it to 200! Twitter will be next...but that is a long way off...I'm stuck at a number...but we'll burn that bridge when we get to it! For now...I bid you an adieu and a thank you...
