Okay, where to start? The coffee. It's still being consumed, and I don't think there is going to be enough on the planet today to get my get up and go out of the corner in it's fetal position, rocking back and forth with silent tears streaming down it's eyes. Yeah, it's one of THOSE days. Well, it is my quasi-Monday...I blame the giraffes. It's all their fault I didn't pop awake with a bounce in my step...more popped awake with a sledgehammer to my forehead. It's just the weather pressure in all it's glory. I have had a headache on and off for the past week, and the weather going up and down like a yo-yo on crack is not helping. I still push through. This week is going to be a shorter week, due to the Dad/Daughter Day...looking forward to it. So it'll probably be a 40 hour work week for me. It'll be like a vacation...enough about me...let's get into the information, updates, and fun stuff...
The update on Society 6 barely made the deadline, which is today. I upload my art to my store early, just in case...this time I was nervous and contacted them. Less than a half an hour later (mind you this was at 9pm est) I get a response. They are doing some major overhauls and it could be up to a week. Now, I understand overhauling and all that it entails. Headaches, spontaneous fits of rage, weeping, begging...you get the idea. I said as much in response, as well as thanking them for their promptness and letting me know what the hell was going on. After my last contact, they responded again, very quickly....and I checked my site this morning and BAM! All 4 new pieces were up. I'm pretty sure me contacting them and my product appearing was a coincidence or not. Either way, they saved the update day. They were very laid back to talk to, we joked a bit and everything. Not stuffy or uptight. They were relaxed, fun and professional. Kudos to them.
Speaking of overhauls...see what I did? I overhauled this site...again. Some dots were missing and some weren't dots, they were triangles...and squares. While I'm all for diversity...on a website, they really should all be dots. I removed some pages, old art, updated some details, condensed pages. I really wanted to get rid of the "More" tab, but that didn't happen. The Paypal tab is now a more friendly "Support" tab...so if you want to support me and these adventures we have, it's under that tab. I just wanted to smooth the rough edges out. I completely eliminated the Update Archives tab. I have the blog now...which automatically archives whether I want it to or not...actually I think I do have an option to get rid of it, but I won't. Needless to say, it was a busy but not artful day yesterday. Worth it though.
On to the arting side of things. So, there are four new pieces up on Society 6. One is waaaaay outside of my comfort zone. It was a suggestion by a minion and the hubby. Still working on a few more pieces similar to that...plus whatever else comes out of my noggin' and trying to get my insane traditional detail into digital. Which I know I can do...unlike traditional I have the handy dandy zoom button which can make my pieces so detailed that heads' implode. I don't know if I like wielding THAT much power...and I am working on a detailed piece. For some reason it takes a lot LONGER to do digitally than traditionally. I'm not sure why. I am not going to focus on the why, just plug away until it is done. It is looking good, for the record. It shall be recorded...here in this mighty blog. Anyways...
Fun times!! YAY! So I did a bit of Don't Starve on my quasi-weekend. I am on Day 115, I died, but luckily I had a life giving amulet and all was well. I am on World 3 now...and am fully tricked out. Nothing can stop me...except that damn Volcano Staff, which is what killed me...never had THAT happen. It is a new item...had no idea what it did...so what did I do? Yup, equipped and then flaming meteors came raining down...dodged a few...in a panic...then one "splatted" me. Needless to say, the staff went into one of the backpacks never to be used again...ever. EVER!!! It was funny because I had just loaded the game up and told the hubby what day I was on and went on further to say that I'll probably die on load up...well it was under 5 minutes. I jinxed myself. Such is life in Don't Starve, at any rate.
On that note, and eye strain, my minions, I think my get up and go has finally come out of it's corner, time to update the rest of the sites. Enjoy your week, and weekend, although I'll probably be giving you another dose of eye strain before then...Toodles and Loos!
