I did get a bit of arty art stuff done yesterday, before the Dad day began. I am still really experimenting with the new program still. I'm also dipping my digital digits in Fluid Art, with my own style spin...which is texture...I'm liking it. It's pure abstract...and I'm kind of using that style to customize brushes and learn the new technology that my program offers...There's a lot to learn...I have a list on my handy dandy, never fails me, post-it notes to remember what I want to do...A lot of experimenting and getting used to the new stuff before the surreal pieces comes out.
Today, is going to be busy...need to clean the crap shack up for tomorrow and workout. I have a plan to clean, then do some arting then workout...then back to the arting. I want to get some actual sketches down today, digitally. Plus, doing the experimenting and getting used to the new brushes that I want to use for said sketches...and of course make some more customize brushes AND get the old brushes back to where I had them before. This is the plan, in theory...what will happen...I really have no clue...as I said before, I'm exhausted. Friday started too early...At least I have a plan...which rarely turn out the way I want them to.
In other art news...I got an email a bit ago from one of my old stores that I shut down, Crated. They are closing shop. It wasn't really sad for me, but I do know why they ended up closing...they didn't offer enough product...there are tons of other online stores, like Society 6 that offer up the canvas, poster, prints and a whole lot more. Always sad to see an online store close. I think the hardest hit I took was when Nuvango shut down...I'm still a bit butt hurt over that one. That being said, I'm really happy with Society 6 with their quality of product and how they add product a lot. I really am happy with only having one site to manage. It takes a lot of the other out of the business of arting...
In the more side of things...I am just trying to juggle a lot right now. All good. I suck at juggling, but I'm doing it, with no style or grace whatsoever. Next week will have one busy day, so far, and that's it. I'm hoping to keep it to the one busy day so I can focus more on arting. I had an amazing Dad Day, yesterday. We always have fun. It's kind of our thing. It's so fascinating listening to his stories and hearing about all the history that I read about or was too young to really experience...and he did. There's a lot of major events he lived through. His take on the events are much more personal than reading about said events.
On that note, before I start getting into a rambling diatribe on books and history and the like, I shall let you get on with your merry Friday. I think there may be a full 4 piece update on Society 6 on Monday, if all works out. Most of my experimental pieces made it past the scrutiny I put them through...a few did make it into the recycle bin of no return. We'll see on the Monday update whether or not it'll be a full update...until then, I will leave you with that mystery and a hearty adieu!
