The update this week is only 2 pieces over at Society 6. The sale has ended, but they are still having free worldwide shipping, which is pretty cool. Society 6 was acting up a little funky today, and I don't have all day to battle with it, works great on the shopping end, hint, hint, nudge nudge, but on the artists' end it was giving me a bit of grief. I've also decided to scale back on the actual art I post, for many reasons...yes, I still have my secret stash of just in case I get blocked...but I really want to set free the newer stuff which is exactly what I did...they take longer, some of them longer than most, we'll get into that next, and some were just warm ups, let the canvas speak to get the gunk out of my noggin. The warm ups so far have been really amazing. So head on over to Society 6 and check out the two new pieces.
The new genre I'm undertaking is taking a bit longer to do. I did decide to do warm ups/let the canvas speak before starting. I think it's a good idea...helps me get my hand and noggin talking, they fight a lot and it gets me in the state of mind I need to be in. Albeit, it does backfire sometimes as I've spent an entire day just letting the canvas talk. That's okay, a lot of the pieces ended up being really strong and Society 6 worthy. So it truly is a win, win for me and you. The current big surreal piece is roughed in...and I did get a chance to art more than I usually do, YAY! This week is not looking like I'll get a lot of arting done, but I'm going to try. I'm not sure if the canvas talking like it is is a self-defense mechanism as the rough sketch of my surreal piece is waaaay out of my comfort zone. I am really excited to start it...hoping to this weekend. (remember my weekend is quasi and doesn't fit the Saturday/Sunday model.) Either way, I will start it. I have ideas for how I want it to look, which could bite me on the ass...or could turn out amazing. We'll see.
In the more news, today happens to be one of my dearest and oldest friends birthday today! I've wished her Happiness and lots of cake eating...I get to see her this Saturday sans kidlets. It's been awhile since we've had a "girl day". I love her kids to pieces (note TO not IN) but it'll be really nice to actually have a full conversation without kidlets needing to be watched. They are very well behaved, but all kidlets' at that age need to be watched and especially in my place where it's not kidlet proofed. I try my best, but it will never happen.
In more more news...yup it's going to be another busy week. I'm hoping after the Easter Bunny departs my busy schedule will go with him. I was going to do an Easter piece and still might, retire my standard "Ether Bunny" or just revamp him digitally. I'm sure I can make him much more disturbing. You are what you draw? Kind of like you are what you eat? Does it work like that? Hmmm...I have to mull that...
On that mulling note, I will leave you with minimal eye strain and wishing you a happy week. I will be back here on the day that is hump. Possibly Friday, but doubtful. I guess it all depends on if Society 6 does a sale again or something very news worthy happens. Until then, I bid you an adieu.
