There is a new mandala and a sale going on over at Society 6. I'm going to assume there will be sales all month long. I'm assuming, and you all know what that does...I'm still enamoured by mandalas and I have another idea for a new one, once the current one is complete. Hoping this week. Remember that if you don't want to buy off of Society 6 that I do sell the digital files, in their full glory, or in laymen's terms...no watermarks. I will also sign the piece or not...it's up to you. Either way, be sure to check out Society 6 to see the new piece on tons of product and a ton of other pieces that are up and ready to go to their new homes!
It is that time of year again, so soon. I want to give you all an early heads' up that I will be taking the 24th through the 31st off from the social media. I'll be arting, that I can assure you. I did this last year, and it really did a world of good for me, mentally. The noggin needs time to recharge. Since both dates fall on a Monday, it only makes sense. Those days are generally busy...either with friends and family or scrambling for last minute holiday gifts.
There was a game session last night. With our newest member coming live over the PC as he lives a few time zones away. It had a few technical blips, but all in all it went smashingly. We were down two players. One from a sabbatical, the other food poisoning. It was a good time to introduce our newest player that we've been planning on getting into the game since the start. We just needed to work out some kinks and get a webcam that was not over 15 years old. I'm serious. It worked....it didn't really pick anything up except blobs that were supposed to be people. The new one...fantastic!! The session was good, ran a little later than usual...we had our shenanigans' but it was more of a focused game.
Oh, we are in other news now...I'm scatterbrained today. That lack of sleep thing. I rocked last week. From arting to working out and everything in between. Had a Day of Dad that was awesome, as usual. I just really owned my week and was mindful and calmer. I had a shift in thinking and it's really working for me. It's hard to explain, but all I know is that I'm happier and I'm a lot more productive. When I think, I don't want to or I can't...I just don't give myself the option of not wanting or not being able to. Within reason, of course. If it's something I physically cannot do I will not do it. I have seen myself from others' perspectives and become more aware. I think I leveled up as a human, in nerd terms.
Speaking of nerd...I am loving Don't Starve's latest expansion Hamlet. It is incredibly hard, insanely fun...and it's still in early access. I have been burned many times on early access games, there's one currently on my steam wish list that I'm holding off until it gets fully released. But Klei Entertainment has not let me down since I found Don't Starve. They are very active and have been patching the ever living hell out of the new game, as well as Don't Starve Together. I get why they couldn't implement their last expansion into Together, but I am hoping they can with Hamlet. That would just be a plethora of hoots and nannies! I generally just play the single player. It's one of the only games I can actually play without getting motion sick. It's been nice to take a little break from arting to just play.
On that note minions, be sure to check out Society 6 and their sales. If you want a digital copy, contact me via the homepage on this site, or on Facebook or Twitter in direct message. I hope you all own your week and rock it! On that note, I bid you an adieu!
