There is a huge and I mean HUGE sale going on over at Society 6 with different promo codes until the 22nd. Everyday is different and there is new art, yes you read that right, which is what I linked the purple text to. There is a plethora of art to choose from, so make sure you take a gander and buy some stuff. Support the arts, the artists, plus get some really awesome swag for you, your friends, family, imaginary friends, your pet...I got the head's up for this long running sale. I don't want to spam you every single day, and I did notice the promo codes are up on the very top of Society 6 site. They've been having some really amazing and frequent sales. I know I have been getting a lot of feedback emails from them and I have said, more sales for the minions!! I try and take care of you! I have no control over the sales, sadly, but hopefully the other artists on Society 6 has said the same thing.
Okay, new art posted out of the way, check! I'm working on a new piece and it's coming along nicely. I have most of the line work laid out, now it's to make the lines disappear, like magic....or with the power of Corel Painter 2019 and my knowledge of said program. I have ideas for the detail work, but the initial work is quite creepy, cute, surreal and perhaps a bit abstract. I'm excited for the piece. I haven't dipped into my rough sketch pile, and I should go through it and see which ones I want to keep and which ones I've lost complete interest in. Like I've said before, the majority of my rough sketches don't see the light of day. They do, however, see the recycle bin of no return. I'm not sure if it works that way with other artists', traditional and digital. I'm thinking when I did traditional as my main medium I usually followed through. With digital I am not wasting paper or material, just PC noggin' space. I really love my jump to digital. Although, I do miss traditional sometimes...
This past week was pretty busy for me. With the Day of Dad, which was fun! We didn't have too much to do, but I didn't really get a chance to art. I did manage to finish the piece, which was a bonus. This week I get to plan a game session for Sunday. I have to really make sure things are right. They ripped through last plans and I had to improv a lot. Which is going to be planned where we left off. It's for sure different than D&D and the hubby is re-working the game until the book comes out, which we have no clue when that'll be. Neither does our game store.
Back to Dad Day for just a bit...he got to meet my wild pet spider that I named Ksteve (the k is silent). He's been hanging around my smoke room and doesn't budge when the smoke goes out of the window, I think I got the poor thing hooked on cigarettes. He (I think it's a he) weaves the most amazing webs...and maintains it. He's my buddy. I wanted to bring him inside, but the hubby and the Dad said absolutely not. He's not that big compared to the other spiders that dwell in our windows...one is just MASSIVE. They don't weave as pretty of webs. I do love that they eat the bugs that are trying to get in our house. Ksteve will remain wild...and I wonder if they hibernate or do they just die. I need to Google-Fu that. I am just fascinated by the web...there are more than one, and in a perfect circle, I see the anchors...it's inspiring for arting. He was busy last night...and he's got a multi-level plus multiple webs going...yes, I'm rambling on about a spider and I'm not sleep deprived like I will be next Monday.
Okay, so I rambled a bit...I had a feeling there was going to rambling, which is much better than ranting and oh, I could soooo go on a rant, but it's not worth the time. I'd rather talk about Ksteve. The workouts have been consistent...I changed it up...I'm walking/running to my own music...which is pretty amazing. Got through the entire play list yesterday, calves are sore...even with a proper warm up and cool down. I for sure got my cardio burn going. Oops, rambling again.
On that note, and eye strain, minions, I shall leave you here, with the shameless plug/reminder to check out Society 6 and the massive week of sales! Until next week, which will be a sleep deprivation blog, I bid you an adieu!
