In arty art news, I gave my wrist a break and it feels fine, a bit sore on certain motions, but I can art again! Woohooo! I am not sure what ideas' are floating around the noggin'...I'll be finding that out today. Need to get a jump start on the resizing for Society 6 and the Monday update. Yuppers, I know it's waaay early, but I've been trying to slowly resize and prep more than the usual just to get ahead of things so Sunday isn't as crazy. It's a new thing I've been trying. With Society 6 adding new product it does take a bit longer to get everything in it's place. I figure getting a few pieces ready every few days will keep me ahead of the game.
The new genre I've been pursuing has been getting really good reviews from you, my minions. I thank all the minions that have reached out and told me how much they are loving the new stuff. I admit it was a bit scary jumping into a new genre...it's a whole new world and there's a lot of room for improvement. I'm still loving it and I am finding myself sealing the Abstract comfort zone box and pushing myself more into the unknown. I do love doing Abstract, but as I've said before, it just doesn't give me that satisfaction that it once did. For me that means it's time to move on and push myself. I'm sure eventually Surrealism will become that way, although, I think it may take a lot longer as there is no limitations to what you can do. I guess that's true of Abstract, but it's a bit less technical and all about emotion. While I do have the feels, I don't tend to let them run amok (amok, amok). I know, I'm a strange one, art is all about the feels, and I do pour my feels into each piece buuuuut that being said I need that technical challenge, that growth and evolution or I'm not a happy camper.
In other art news...I was on Instagram for all of 20 minutes. LOL. Well more than that, about a day, but the morning of 4 hours trying to get to upload and the frustration that came with it, I shut it down. I think it's a great platform for Traditional artists, or people that love to post pictures, I'm neither. I tried and tried...and to no avail. Then I got thinking, do I want another site to manage? Not really, I can barely navigate Twitter...I think for now, I'll stick to the sites I have, and maybe look into Instagram at a later date. That and I really suck at hashtags. I run out of room on Twitter and Facebook I just entirely forget to do it. The intention is there...the memory isn't. I think this is my rant section about Instagram...that you can't upload photo's on your PC...only your phone. Well I don't really have a phone...and taking a picture of my monitor with my art...means I have to keep my studio spit spot and that just doesn't happen. I guess you can upload from you PC with a third party software, again...that is just too much blech to wade through. IF Instagram changes I will for sure add it to my sites...for now, no. Just no. It's not digital art friendly, and I really don't think I want to take pictures of my sketchbook...and I am not that public of a person that I need to take pictures. Usually the ones I do are of family or reference pictures for art. Okay, feeling the rants leaving the pants...
A few paragraphs to go minions, you can make it!! I just want to remind all of you that I do still take on commissions. Traditionally and digitally. I also will sell the files to the art that are posted on Society 6 or Deviant Art, where ever it is you go to see the new stuff. There is of course restrictions, unless you are interested in buying the rights' to the piece. This is another thing I keep forgetting to mention...oops. My noggin' has a lot of chaos and raciness...I can't keep up, even with the coffee.
The more...we're almost there!! It was a very busy quasi-weekend but we made it! Whew...and I have a Dad day tomorrow! YAY! Not sure where our adventures will take us, but adventures we have. Hopefully not as busy as last time...that was a lot of running. Other than that it's arting for me. Oh and tweaking the game a bit....I have new ideas...sinister, creepy ideas to add onto the game. We don't have a new date set, yet. That I hope will happen, soon.
On that note minions we've made it through another windbaggy of windbagginess blog! Wooohooo! Yes, I'm still hyper...the coffee is strong with this one...plus a workout is coming up...I promise no planking, or anything else that involves strain on the wrist. I will leave you here, again in the mystery of will I blog on Friday or not? It's a mystery, for me, even. Until next time, I bid you an adieu.
