I finally, FINALLY finished tweaking and organizing my brushes from the new program update. What a daunting task, but worth it...now I can art without having to figure out what's where and the brushes are calibrated to my liking...a resize here or there doesn't disrupt the arting mojo, but having to go in the edit tool and customizing sure does. I haven't done too much arting...some experimenting and sketching...I'm hoping this week I'll get more arting done. I've still been enamoured by the fluid art and doing it digitally. I've seen video's on the handy dandy interwebs of it being done traditionally...very messy, but very cool...not sure how much actual skill it takes to do it traditionally...I know digitally it takes a bit of know how on the program and how the brushes work. Which is probably why I'm in "OH! Shiny!!" mode. I will continue to do more fluid art, if only to be able to marry it to the Surrealism...
I do have 4 new pieces up on Society 6 this week. The uploader started off being a meanie pants, but after hitting F5 enough it straightened itself out for an actual full update. Including the one surreal piece that I had been working on. I think it came out good, a bit disjointed, but I think that's because it started off in Painter 2017 and finished it in Painter 2018 without the brushes being set up. I do like the piece, but I know I can do better. I plan on doing better...I didn't want to abandon ship on it because of the hours I did put in, but the next Surreal piece should be better as I'll be using the one program instead of two. The other three are digital fluid art, experiments gone very well...there were a lot that hit the recycle bin. So, grab the wallets, head over to Society 6 and buy stuff. It will go to a very good cause of me getting the PC's now extremely needed lobotomy. This upgrade was pretty intense and there's a few new technologies that I can't fully use...yet. There's a ton of product and it's great for sprucing up the house, apartment, cardboard box, dorm, car, where ever you dwell...
In the more of the news...my hamstrings are hating me right now. Workout was great, the bruised knee is okay, the foot doing better...just kind of overdid it...I really had no motivation to do it, but that's when the "get shit done" mode kicks into overdrive and I make myself. It's what the peanut gallery and I do. Get shit done. It's a good motto to have in life...and you can apply it to all facets of said life.
This week is going to be a busier week, Dad day!! YAY! I wish it could be weekly but the bi-weekly gives me time to miss him a bunch. I'm pretty lucky to have an awesome Dad friend. I was doing the pondering of how the parent-child relationship evolves into friendship as well. It amuses me because we are very close and have a very deep friendship but if I step over a line, he doesn't hesitate to scold. Like the tornado incident of last year...I deserved the scolding, but it makes me chuckle...doesn't matter how old you are...the Dad will scold and then be your friend at the same time. I guess that was my ponder of the week. Other than that it's been very art focused with a side of the normal thought vomit that races through my noggin...
On that note my minions, I shall leave you pondering or trying to bleach out of your brain, thought vomit. I hope you are having a fantastic Monday and I will see you again on the day that is hump. Until then Toodles!
