So the biggest news by far is that Society 6 (see the dark purple buttons all over this site) featured me. Funnily enough, right after I posted the Monday blog. I was going to edit or re-blog, but decided to do it in this blog. I am still reeling over the email. This is where Facebook and Twitter are handy and dandy...I can give you the short version of the news...then come back here and be my normal windbaggy self.
What does being featured entail? Well first of all, there are a LOT of artists' where my store lives...and they chose one of my pieces to feature. That is HUGE. Insanity level of huge! It It's been included in their shop. You can find it here: Society 6. Funny enough, to me, it wasn't my strongest piece that I posted this week. Oh, yeah...I posted 4 new pieces this week. I do the actual posting on Monday so they are guaranteed to clear for the hump day update. I've had issues in the past and I have noticed 48 hours is a good time frame to post...the only time they have major issues is when they are having major sales or about to, which means they are working on their site. Anyways, I got that special link above. The chose the print, but you can get it on pretty much every single product they sell. So head over, check it out...buy some stuff.
I'm still in a fluffy state of walking on the clouds...before I was still struggling with all of the art stuffs. The normal questions...was re-branding the right thing to do? Was kind of stepping away from commercial art for the best (for the record I still DO commercial art and commissions)? A lot of doubt in general and some self. Am I headed in the right direction style wise? Was digital the right way to go? You get the generalized picture...now add a bitter layer of depression frosting and you have the cake I was eating for the last few months. I even ranted about it here. That was the lowest point...it has been slowly going up and now with being featured it is, for the most part, over. There will always be doubts nipping at my heels.
Oh a quick note...If you, my minions, like to get in on some of the action, sign up to Society 6 (yes, it's still my special link, but you can sign up from there)
