There is a sale over at Society 6 with the promo code: ARTNOW and...and a new piece. Which is what I linked (the purple text) to this week. It showcases it on all the product that you can get it on...remember there's a ton of art to choose from. So use the pretty purple links or use the TONS of links all over my page. Either way...you'll get there...just where you'll get to is the mystery...muhahahaha!
The new piece I like. I am not showcasing it this week, maybe next week and there's a vacation coming...It'll be the week of the 23rd. I need a break. Granted, I'll still be arting. I reminded myself that waaay back in January I was going to take vacations...yeah, that wasn't happening overly much. I decided to take the week of the hubby's birthday off...not that he has the whole week off, but I will. He can live vicariously through me. It sounds so cruel...but in all fairness we will be a bit busier that week...kind of like this week is going to be busier...Oh we have a LOT to get through, minions...including some rants in my pants. You do have your eye drops and coffee, right? Speaking of coffee and the maker of...segue card!!
I think I gave my coffee maker brain damage yesterday. It was high time I cleaned it and cleaned it I did....except...the last time I ran it through the clean cycle (no one likes vinegar tasting coffee) it stopped and it wasn't done it's cleany cleaniness thing. The hubby was at work...and had told me that the car has the plague...again...I'm thinking grrrreeeaaattt....another wallet dinging ARRRGGHHH to stress the me out. I got the coffee maker kind of working. Hubby did some experiments...it does brew...but it dings like it's done within a minute and the coffee just doesn't taste right. It's still doing the trick but it's not that freshly cleaned coffee of caffeine goodiness that I need, especially on Monday's. In it's defense it has gone through a lot in it's time here. From the ant invasion of last year to this years' coffee drinking game sessions...I guess I'm still not used to things being built to last for more than 3 years. Call me old fashioned. Same with the car...I think my Dad still sees my 1979 Dodge Aspen driving around from time to time...yeah that was my second car, but it was the first car I could keep the windows up and not die of carbon monoxide poisoning...no joke. My first car gave me the winning title of "Most Likely to Hit a Pedestrian" in my senior year of high school. I don't think it was my driving I think it's because it had no exhaust...I saw it fall to the side of the road on my way home from school...from the engine downward. Plus the rust...flat tire would have done the poor thing in. See, rambling is at it's maximum because the coffee isn't strong enough...GRRRR. While I did not graduate anywhere near the 1970's those cars I just loved...I think I will always be a bit old school.
So now our current car has the check engine light on it...again. Pretty sure we know what it is, but pretty sure I don't want to spend that kind of money to fix it. GRRR, then the coffee maker...GRRR...I'm in a growling kind of mood....wonder if I'll growl at people at Costco, like that one time...they cleared a path quickly. It's been a shit storm of shit...on many levels and facets of life...back to art kind of...
I've noticed over the last several weeks I've been losing followers on Facebook. That makes me kind of sad. Not that I visit Facebook too much, well not until I got nominated to do a book challenge from my oldest friend that is more of a sister than a friend. She's one of the very few people I cannot say no to. I know she'd understand but I just can't. So I'm on day 3 of 7 now. It's actually kind of nice going on Facebook and not seeing all of the politics and just bullshit. It's why I avoid my personal page. It's nice to go on and see all the nominated people and their books. Pretty sure I've said this before, but I'll say it again. I will not get political on my art sites...I want this a safe haven of getting away from all of it and just enjoying the art and my shenanigans'. I do follow politics but I just don't want that to bleed over to my arting and my blog. This is a safe place, where you can escape to a twisted, disturbed place that is my life. Add a splash of goof and BAM!
We're almost done minions, I promise, there's a few pieces of news and a mini rant and we're done. Need to lube those eyes? I'll wait...and waiting...grab me some coffee while you're lubing your eyes...thanks! Okay. Day of Dad was really good, except his car's A/C pooched out...yesterday it was really making weird noises, so both his and my car have the plague. Weird. It was a good day other than that. No set game session yet, but I am setting up times where my players' are going to come over, one on one to get a new character rolled up and a dip into the new system. I'm not sure how it's going to work along with doing the old game, but it'll happen. I'm super excited and inspired to run the new game. It's very much my cup of coffee (tea if you want tea...)
One last mini-rant and I'll be done...why do people light fireworks in the day? Why? I am perplexed...it's not like you can't see the pretty colours. It pisses me off that just out of the blue, broad daylight, not even later in the evening...but at noon! Why?! Whhhhyyyy!!???!!??!! Makes absolutely no sense to me. That and mowing brown grass...it's dead...it's not growing...we are having a bit of a drought so far. We need some rain. Poor grass. Oh oh oh!! Forgot to mention, I changed my profile picture. On some of the sites minions thought I shaved my head...only partly true, just the sides and the back. This site, thankfully allowed the full picture to show the cut in all it's glory...the other sites, I do see how they thought my head was shaved. It wouldn't be the first time I did that!
You did it minions!! You made it to the end of a very rambling blog! I blame my brain damaged coffee maker. So get mad at it, not me. Remember to check out the sales at Society 6 and use the promo code ARTNOW. For now, I bid you an adieu...until next Monday at least.
