So the Dad/Daughter adventure day was a success. As always. Our boys' (aka a local computer fixer upper place) had a USB hub for me at a very good price. Amazing place where we take both our PC's for lobotomies and all our other PC needs. They are the place to go for us. Running around took us all over the city and when we finally got back to the apartment...I was wiped. The soreness just escalated...every muscle seemed to get more angry the more I moved. Thankfully, when I woke up this morning I was not sore. My pinky finger is completely numb, but in my comatose state of sleeping I must have slept wrong. Which is no surprise.
I did get a chance to play my Dad the latest KBIM show yesterday. We didn't get to listen to all of it, but I made sure he listened to the part where we were mentioned...I saw a gleam of pride in my Dad's eye and he asked who sent the email, and when I said "me" he smiled. It's funny, no matter how old I get, I still like knowing I make my Dad proud. We have come a long way and it's really cool that we have entered this friendship dynamic as well as a child/parent relationship. He still gives really amazing advice, wish I wasn't so stubborn and stupid in my youth, I think life would have been a bit easier had I actually listened. I think it's a "right of passage" to be stupid when you are young...some grow out of it, some don't. I'm glad I did.
I know where I get my crazy eclectic music taste from...yup my Dad. We bought him an MP3 player two years ago for his birthday and he has been giving me a list of songs he wants every other week. (Days he comes out) Googleplay for the win! He has a wide range of music, not quite as crazy as mine...but yesterday I actually put a song by Moby on his play list...followed by Adele's latest. Wha?! He got a song stuck in his head, so we hunted that down Righteous Brothers. I am my fathers' daughter. While I didn't add any of his songs (this time) to my list, it's still very cool to see I come by my weirdness honestly.
Today is update day, which is already done...go check out the links on my home page, I will wait. All done? Cool, right? Today I'll be trying to finalize some rough tradoodle sketches and work on the digital piece as well. So lots of arting. I have not had a lot of time to do the art, this week. It's a rare occasion when I'm that busy. I'm glad for the busy and fun days. I'm so ready to get back to my regularly scheduled program of arting. I am really missing it. I feel like there's for sure something missing. I'm hoping, and I'm not a computer wizard or anything, but I'm hoping that the USB hub, which is high speed (my old one was not) that I will have less lag on my program. Not sure how it works...if it does awesome, if not, I still needed the hub. All is good in my little slice of reality.
Well minions, I promised you no eye strain. I am off to art! Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend, although, I will probably be blogging before the weekend is over. For now, drink coffee, be merry, and have a piece of pie...because pie never lies.
