My coffee was deliciously strong this morning and I'm on a warpath of sorts...no, not in a bad way...just in a very productive way. The coffee went to it's happy place way too quickly, and I'm ready to conquer my day! It's a busy one...and tomorrow is busier. Well, I think I'll start by pestering you...about the 200...shocking. Facebook is so close to hitting that goal! Please head over and share and invite that link on your Facebook page. It would mean the world to me...I know it's just a number...but it's also a milestone of sorts. An important one...for me.
Remember also to visit Society 6 and buy some stuff, so I can keep doing what I'm doing. The Wacom is still plugging along, but with the surface being in the state that it's in...it's very hard to get the art out. Not impossible, just not as efficient as I'd like. I am also thinking of upgrading from a medium to a large Intuos Pro. Give me more space to work since what I'm planning in the future is going to be insane detail...It'd be really nice to have a bit more workspace. Society 6 is also offering free worldwide shipping, today only...so it'd be the perfect opportunity for you to get a head start on some holiday shopping (no I am not mentioning the dreaded C word before Halloween...but it is good to get a jump on things) or get something really special for yourself, because you, my minions, deserve special things. They also added another new product...clear Cell phone cases! How cool is that?! So, the line art that I'm currently doing is going to fit perfectly with said cases.
Perfect segue into the Trending piece. I did get quite a bit done this quasi-weekend. I don't get days off, really. I am constantly arting or doing something art related. I do take breaks during the day...but for the most part it's art or bust. I am really making headway...and may just be able to get it done by month's end...if not it will be shortly after. Remember, I have mandatory real life stuff that cannot be denied, neglected or ignored. Sadly. I tried ignoring it...but then it just gets icky and I can't focus and my realm just doesn't function.
Getting tons of inspiration by actually starting back old school tabletop role playing. I am the DM (Dungeon Master), the teller of the story, the creator of the worlds...I can use a plethora of pre-fab worlds...but the one I created many moon's ago has a lot of great ideas...I'm changing the world to fit the system and the peanut gallery has been immensely helpful, if not a bit frustrating in the process. He really does push me in this aspect as well as the arting...but the results after all the frustration bombs settle are so much better than where I was. It's just enhancing what I already had to a whole other level of WOW. He does this with my art, too. He's a keeper.
That being said, digging this old world up and making it new has given me so many art ideas. The books are filled with amazing artists' creations...and while I will never be able to get their style down...I can use my own style and it is just really putting the ideas in motion.
Hence the creative overload...see what I did there, another perfect segue, I'm on a roll! That was a critical success roll! Go me! For all the non-tabletop role player minions, I do apologize for this...I am having so many ideas that I almost can't keep up...working on the trending piece solely is tricky...I am sketching ideas down or taking notes on what I want to do...It's also pushing my art. Oh and yes, I'm a nerd...hardcore. Gamer of the PC, Gamer of the Tabletop...reader of obscure books. Which was brought to my attention this week on my personal Facebook page. I guess I read really weird books. They do inspire me...and slake my need for the learning and knowledge. So what if I know more about the Black Death than most people? Or that the day in the life of a 16th century executioner was filled with politics and societal status, or lack thereof in this case. Yes, I'm an odd one...but all of what I do fuels the art I do. Yes, I do read novels, etc. Even popular ones...like The Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children...that trilogy was really good.
Well I think I'm rambling...yup, sure am...probably gave you some eye strain, my apologies, but I did do the disclaimer of grabbing the eye drops. The coffee and excitement I'm feeling has my bounce a bit bouncier in my step...don't worry I plan to burn that off during my workout. I will let you minions get back to whatever it is you do on your hump day! Wish you well and a hearty adieu. I will be seeing you again on Monday. Where the news, I hope will be plentiful...a bounty, a cornucopia, if you will. For now...have a great rest of the week and an amazing weekend! Toodles!
