First of all, I would like to thank the minions that are keeping my Society 6 alive! Thank you, I am grateful. Since starting the webcomic there hasn't been much time to just art whatever comes floating in my noggin. I would use the pretty purple links for all of you to check out, but I'm experiencing technical difficulties with my mouse. But I digress, all purchases on Society 6 are a mystery of who is buying...but whoever they are, THANK YOU!!! Onto the webcomic news...
There will be another character reveal today! YAY! You can find him on Facebook and Twitter! How fun?! While I will be not posting anything until 2020, rest assured there will be arting being done. A lot of arting. I have a few ideas to actually put on Society 6 that will be more merch, than actual pieces. I still don't have a launch date, yet, but it's getting closer...and I'm actually a bit nervous. Can I do this?! Then I thought, all the video's I've watched, and got nervous watching...that's them...this webcomic is me and I'm sharing it with you...not to become famous, but to share my passion. So while the basic "rules" of a webcomic do apply for me, I'm not going to stress out about the other rules...of precision accuracy of the characters, the shade and highlight in a certain way. Nope. Going to focus on the characters and their story. It will be more of a old school newspaper comic as opposed to a graphic novel at this point. Who knows what will change from where I'm at now to when it launches. I don't know. I am just enjoying character designs and I have a few strip ideas that will eventually come into play. I think there's more now to a comic than there was when I first decided, traditionally to make a comic strip. Boy have I come a very long way since back then.
The webcomic is what I am focusing on right now, and I think it's slowly starting to fill in. With the new reveal of the next character, I can start letting them get to know each other. The third character design is in it's extremely rough phase. Not ready to see the world, yet. But I have an idea...and I need to run with it. And run I will. Sophie has a playmate, which I love. I have a few practice sketches with them together that I could see going on Society 6. It will be limited to what the products will be, but it will be fun to see how it works out. I have an idea for when I get all the main characters designed...my noggin is spinning at a very rapid rate. I'm surprised smoke isn't coming out of my ears!!
On that note, my minions. Have a safe and happy *insert your celebration here*. Be safe and kind to each other. I will see you all in 2020! Until then, I bid you an adieu!
